Placements at Europoles

Getting a taste of practical experience instead of just making coffee and copies

Where do you go after school? What training or studies are you interested in? What is awaiting you in working life? No matter whether as a pupil, a student or a stipend holder – with a placement at Tecpoles, you will have the opportunity to find that out. We offer you exciting insights and the chance to get oriented. Each year, we provide countless young people with a work placement: in a technical, production-related, commercial or business area. You, too, perhaps?

Making it happen – a written application

It is important for you to apply in writing. A brief letter stating the area where you want to gain insights and your preferred period is enough. Include your curriculum vitae and, if you like, you can also enclose the last summary of your marks – done! We will then check where we can best use you and whether a trainer and apprentice are also available in the department at that time. This is because we want to provide you with personal and good support during your placement.

Immediately in the middle of the action – collegial collaboration

Throughout the year, we have interns at our company – mainly at our head office in Neumarkt, but also at our other locations in Germany. Our employees and apprentices will make sure that you are given the best possible treatment right from the start. For example, this also involves our apprentices showing you the plant, taking you along to lunch in the company restaurant and also coming alongside you with advice and support.

My student internship paved the way for an exciting training. Within the context of the “Neumarkter Verbundausbildung” I got to know the accounts department of our affiliated partner, Pfleiderer, in addition to various fields of application at Tecpoles. I liked that very much. That’s why I found my place in the purchasing department of Tecpoles.

Taking part – dependable support

From the outset, you will be professionally supported, will gain good insight into working life, and will truly learn something – this is something you can be sure of if you pursue a placement with us. Whether you are looking over the shoulders of our production employees in the plant, learning in the Marketing Department how a trade show is organised or discovering in the Infrastructure Department why our products are needed so that you can make a call with your mobile phone... It is important to us that you will gain insight into our company and our way of working and that you yourself will be allowed to make a contribution, regardless of whether you are with us for a week or half a year.

During my internship I had the opportunity to get to know a new department every day. Together with the persons responsible of Tecpoles I was able to develop a feeling for my impeding part-time training and to learn about the perfect area of deployment for me: the service department, where I still work today.

One or 26 weeks – manifold possibilities

One placement is not the same as another. The most common placements are those completed by pupils – boys and girls from secondary school. These placements normally last for four to five days. With trainers and apprentices at their side as direct contact persons, they are able to make valuable impressions.

We also offer placements for FOS (technical college) interns, who are then with us at the company every other week.
Whether short or long: Every intern receives comprehensive professional support – from the welcome on the first day to the final interview on the last day.

I liked the placement in the Infrastructure Order Processing area so much that I wanted to see even more and therefore extended my placement time. Now I am in a different area – Lighting Logistics – and am able to gain more experience.

Springboard into a career

It all began in 2014: After studying economics in Würzburg, Carolin Lehmeier wants to orientate herself by a voluntary internship at Tecpoles. The originally planned three months of internship in the energy sales department finally run up to a whole five month – along the way Carolin gains important experience for starting her working life, but she also establishes many relations within the Tecpoles family.

Connections remain and after three years and two career stages the paths of Carolin Lehmeier and Tecpoles cross a second time. Just the right time, just the right job and the intern of 2014 grows into today’s International Sales Manager in the lighting department.
